Portraits

Man, after seeing the full-frame face shots of the monks in the movie on Saturday, I am absolutely itching to get a hold of a good camera and take some portraits. Not in the Sears, "3000 pictures for $11.99" special sense of the word, but really capturing a moment and a feeling. It's a little strange, I think... I've spent a lot of time taking pictures of people I don't know and of Allison (though it's a pretty... shall we say, "dynamic" process with her), but never done much with taking pictures of people I do know. Can't wait for summer, and full, warm, beautiful light again.... I want to create!

Did you see that one monk with that really amazing "rouge eyebrow" hair. It was like two inches and curled upwards off of his face. That eyebrow hair deserved it's own line in the credits.
Rouge eyebrow hair........Himself

No kidding - and I would vote for a credit for the Eyebrow Stylist, too.

Honestly, I just about couldn't look at it... I mean, it was amazing, but I kept imagining how it would feel to have it living on my face. I don't exactly have thin brows, but I'm pretty sure that would cause me problems. Do you think he gets it caught in doors and stuff? Is it a fire hazard? Does he end up tickling the monk in front of him in the food line? And what does the vow of silence mean when you're being tickled?

I think we're going to have to wait for the sequel: Pas Encore de Silence - La Grand Sourcil...
