Would You Like Fries With That?

I went for fondue with a couple of colleagues today. As we were eating, I decided that it would probably be pretty tasty to chop up some jalapeƱos and spice things up a bit.

Other things that I haven't tried or seen that might be good in fondue:
1. Beer
2. BBQ sauce
3. Bacon Bits
4. Fresh dill
5. Apple sauce

Any other ideas?

Applesauce, what the h*#@?!

You've got to be kidding. Tell me you're kidding and I'm being too literal here.

Darryl - I did make some apple sauce this year and you can have some when you come home, but not in fondue! I'm with anonymous.

Okay, here's the apple sauce thing: cheese is good with apples, right? So maybe apples would be good with fondue. I'm serious, and I think I may try it. I could have a fondue tasting party... now THAT could be an adventure...

Well, a friend introduced me to baked brie with maple syrup and pecans. Mmmmmm boy. So, perhaps a dash of maple syrup? I don't know what it would do to a fondue seeing as how it's comprised of very different cheeses. Worth a try while you're at it I suppose.

At first glance I thought number one was "Bear". The Swiss eat weird stuff, so it didn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

Maple syrup? I have trouble with that unless it has bacon alongside... but maybe bacon would be okay in place of bacon bits. Hmmmmmm...

And T-roy, no, not bear. It's beer, man.

Well if what I'm picking up is true, that you are coming here at Christmas, and you come to my adventsfest, then I will make it. But even if you don't I can still make it and you can come over another time.

NAAAAAAASTY.

I am a fondue traditionalist, that is for sure.

Apples go with BRIE. You don't put brie in fondue.

That's just wrong.

But have fun dabbling in sacrilege.
