Body Language

More from Rome... these people just stood out to me for how they moved, how they were standing... something about their physical presence. I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks, Katie!

A:
1. Not sure if he's a dancer, but I do have it on pretty good authority that he's a security guard. At a church, even.

9. Laughing is okay, but only from a distance.

10. I think there may have been some kind of soft-drink residue involved. He was like that for a long time. His sweater may still be there, for all I know.

12. Well, I don't know if he was weird...

14. Color is fun.

16. Love that stance, and I could probably make a go at my stand-up career if I could find a way to replicate it.

17. Yeah, I really dig how she was sitting, and the shadow on her face is great.

19. I like the one who looks like that star trek guy.

Glad you enjoyed them!

I forgot to play "what country are they from?" Here are a few favorites...

1. Probably Italian, but I'll just tell you that once you get into dancing, you "dance" all the time. That guy knows his stuff, you can tell by the line of his hip all the way to his heel.

2. Either a German or an Eastern European, judging by the jeans and the shoes...

4. Hmmmmm maybe that one should go into the French horse show collection.

6. Must be Italian, the way he's making those girls nervous.

7. Americans? Latin Americans?

8. Italiano, Signiori...

9. Did you ever see a rabid Swiss German traffic cop doing this job? I did in Basel once and laughed myself sick. It was a woman and she was screaming and blasting everybody from her little booth in the intersection. What an awful job!

11. Definitely Italian.

12. Definitely a freak.

16. English. Must be.

19. 100% Italian, Spock...

20. tough to tell but love the cigarette. Perhaps French. :)
