The PIctures

Okay, my Amsterdam pics are up. We're in the middle of daddy-daughter day here, so I can't write more now. But you can start with the pictures, here.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Loved 11 36 and 37. Gosh. The colors!! They're simply amazing. You could print and frame 11 you know? Gotta love the expression on some of the people you captured towards the end. Kind of like drummer face but not quite there yet =)

(YELP!) Oh JOY! The old Darryl-my-favorite-photographer is BACK!!!

You have no idea how much it pains me to have to leave the house right now and not be able to sit here and analyze and rank them.

Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sigh) Happiness...

Lol... glad you're looking forward to seeing them. I don't think you'll be disappointed; there are a couple nice ones in the mix...

LOTS of nice ones!!! I'm telling you, you haven't done anything this "Classic Darryl" in a year. It's fab. Go on another trip. Or just go wander Geneva this weekend and people watch, s'il tu plait.

Hey, thanks. I'm glad you like them. This weekend looks a little unlikely - it will be a mix of daddy/daughter time with the little chick and a good friend's stag party. But I do have a ton on my hard drive that need to get edited and published, so there will be more on the way...

Hooray! Looking forward to it. I'm happy you got your muse back.

So far the orange flowers (brilliant!) and the girl below them (here on the blog) are the most memorable... she looks like she could dress up as "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and do quite nicely.

Yeah, between her features and the complete lack of make-up, she looked like a painting to me. I was walking by, saw her, and turned around to snap a couple before trying to make sure I didn't lose my friends, so I didn't have time for that to register, but knew that she would be worth the pictures.

And I've been wondering about the flowers in b&w. Not sure yet, but I think it could be interesting, both from the textures that now are overshadowed by the color and just the fact that flowers are supposed to be ABOUT the color. Hmmmm....
