Ice Cream

I thought I had ice cream in the freezer. I don't.

Crap.

I feel for you. That is indeed an unenviable position to find oneself in.

It's complicated by a couple of significant factors, too, Jess:

1. It's Geneva, Sunday night. Nothing is open. Not even the police.

2. I have (happily, don't get me wrong) a sleeping child. I would need to find someone who delivers.

I briefly considered combining milk, sugar, yogurt, and ranch dressing (seems I don't keep a lot of creamy things on hand) and tossing it in the freezer, removing it to stir every 10 minutes until it reaches the desired consistency. Made popcorn and had some chocolate instead, which, in the long run, is probably the better choice.

Incidentally, what kind do you like?

I'm not too fussy. I usually go for something chocolaty, but not just chocolate. I mean, with pieces of chocolate, or nuts or something in it. The caramel one is good, too. And mandarin orange, though I'm not usually a huge fruit-flavors guy. Oh, and the cinnamon one was good. I had a macadamia nut one that I liked, too. I guess I like a lot... lol.

Kind of like... mmmm... pie.

Still sounds detailed to me. ;-)

Did you pick some up today?

Well, the other anonymous did. Caramel and Macadamia (in two separate boxes). Made for quite a good band practice...

So it does pay to complain! Way to go, Darryl.

I told you it would. And it only took 34 years, too.

Darryl, if I had given you everything you wanted when you were growing up, it wouldn't seem so special when friends bring you things now. How kind of her to bring 2 favorites! You're beginning to sound a bit spoiled!

PS - Hope you don't miss my comments too much when we're away next week! Don't worry, I'll be back!

If you had given me everything I wanted when I was growing up you'd still be a long ways from paying it off. My tastes have never fit well with my budget, though they are getting more and more reasonable as I get a bit older. At this rate, in fact, my midlife crisis will involve a hair transplant and a bike.

And yes, I am a bit spoiled - more than a bit, in a lot of ways. I'm pretty okay with that.

Have a wonderful trip, and I'll save some space for you for when you're back.
