Here. Try this. Apparently our friend Jess had a little adventure in Boston.

Thanks... too tired to read now. I just realized before having a friend over tonight that I need to be packed and ready to go for the weekend - we're going to Budapest - and I meet my guys for our regular weekly prayer and "where are you at" time tomorrow morning at 7:30. But I will get there...

Have fun in the Pest and see if you can get somebody to let you in to the old chained-up synagogue down the street from the main one!

Have fun with your camera... it's not a city I'd choose to live in, but it offers no shortage of photo ops, that is a fact.

it's a sad thought that although i'm counting down the days till she's in town, it comes at a cost of time you can't spend with her. i'll do my best to send her your love

Thanks, Jon.

She'll like it if you chase her in circles around the staircase. She may want to stand beside you and listen to the stories the first few times, but she'll sit on your lap or beside you on the couch when she's ready. If she's singing to herself you know she's content. It makes her happy if you drink your water at the same time she's drinking hers. If she says "no" when you're tickling her, listen to her; she'll say "more" when she's ready. Tell her that she's precious, that she's beautiful, that you love her, and that I miss her.

she liked it when i chased her in circles around the staircase. i didn't read her any stories, but she stood beside me while we played for a while, and sat on my lap when she was ready. when she sang to herself, i knew she was content. it made her happy when i drank my water at the same time she was drinking hers. when she said "no" when i was tickling her, i listened to her; she said "more when she was ready. i told her she was precious, that's she's beautiful, that i love her, and that you miss her very, very much.

and i realized that you are a truly remarkable father, and i hope i can love my kids some day as well as you love her. it was a blessing to have her here, Darryl.

Yes you are a remarkable father. There isn't a decent person around who doesn't know that and say so at the drop of a hat.

Jon, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

And I appreciate the kind words from both of you, but to be completely open, I don't think that what I'm doing is remarkable: I just love my daughter, and want to care for her and help her to grow the best that I can. The way that I treat her isn't exceptional; it's just love.

Thanks for caring for her while she's away from me.
