Devil Is In

Here are some things I noticed while I was in Rome. No particular theme running through them beyond that, but I hope you enjoy them.

She's Very, Very Quiet

You haven't been reading any comments from my mom lately, because she's here with me. She and my dad are over for a visit, which is also the reason I haven't been writing much - I've been pretty busy with them and with the little chick.

We're going to go to Rome for a few days, and I'm pretty excited. I think it's going to be a pretty nice break from work. And they make the best coffee in the world. And I'm going to take a bazillion pictures. I'll even show you the good ones.

Other than that, I don't have a lot to report. I hope you're doing well, though.

Well, it appears that last night we hit 5 digits for TYC visitors. Thanks for reading - I wish that as a kind of thank-you I could make some popcorn and you could sit in the tent and watch a movie with the little chick and I. Of course, she has fairly particular taste, so this would only feel rewarding if you like Veggie Tales or if you are really, really hungry for popcorn. Still, might be nice.

Oh, a couple of days ago we passed the 8,000 mark - thanks, everybody.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that it was a mac user.

On January 2nd, to mark the start of a new year, TYC had its 7,000th visitor. Not counting, of course, you guys who use a subscription service to read instead of actually logging on. I mean, you don't count as far as the number I know about, but as far as I'm concerned you still count just as much in a metaphysical kind of sense.

You know, just so you're not worried or anything.

TYC just had it's 3000th visitor. I wish I could give everyone a chocolate when they visit, or at least a moist towelette or something. In any case, thanks. I appreciate it. And if anyone doubted that my mom was visiting before, now we have the comments to prove it. So - thanks, Mom.

I figure that with about 800 more the pen will finally be worn off...

Thanks for reading and (sometimes) leaving a comment. Today The Yellow Couch had its thousandth visitor. I was hoping to give away a fabulous prize to the 1000th visitor, but it's hard to know exactly who it was. So I'm going to eat some Pim's raspberry chocolate cookies instead.
